90’s November 3, 2008

I just realised I was -growing up- in the 90’s. Though we not hippie as 60’s or peacy as 70’s but we are 90’s and that meant to me
Lot of boy bands and teen girl pop stars, also some really bad hair do’s (the left overs of awful 80’s)
Then there was the dawn of cable TV age in India, back when Star Plus hosted only English shows – Mom’s getting hooked to TV operas from the evil west (what bold, not beautiful)
It also meant, I knew what buffyverse is or atleast Xander or scooby gang
We also had “Truth is out there” wensday nights, 11 pm go scream weeks – ah Scully the skeptic, Mulder the believer
Yes, we also knew fanny packs and had our first brush with the world wide web through netscape, albeit briefly
I remember Dolly meant sheep, Seles got stabbed, Pokhran…
I realised that i was so 90’s recently. All my hero’s fading away is one reason. And everything thats 90’s is taken over by the so called ‘youngistans’ of the 2k’s
